“Buyer's caveat: give it at least 25/30 hours of burning in. Fresh from the box it sounds edgy and bright, I was getting a headache after listening to it for about 20 mins. Even with the stock EL34 tubes after that period it sounds fantastic. My previous amp was an SS described by Stereophile as 80% of Krell for 20% of it's price and was placed in category B by "major" Thompson but it couldn't hold a candle to P-L in dynamics and resolution. After burning in P-L has become a different beast with better tonal balance and a lot better bass. Most important, the highs has lost it's brightness. No more headache. As I'm writing this in another room Ginger Baker with power and authority is pounding his drum kit in "Do what you like" while The Blind Faith CD is spinning. This is what I can say about this amp. More is written in Stereophile by Art Dudley, so I'm not going to repeat a master reviewer. Just to up the ante, ordered the other day a quartet of KT-120.”

“I have been using this amp for about six months and I continue to be more pleased with it. I purchased it not for high power output, but for sound quality and its very comprehensive set of biasing and protection circuits. The power is very adequate for my Madisound Thor speakers which are rated at about 88 dB. I finally decided to further upgrade my set up by purchasing the PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium preamp to go with it. The combination produces the best, to me, sound that I have ever had the pleasure to experience in my home.”
