“Have the 17D3 installed in my VPI Classic turntable and it sounds wonderful. Tracks extremely well and is amazingly articulate throughout the frequency range with extended bass, contrary to a couple of reviews Iâ€:tm:ve seen, fabulous midrange, and with a great sense of air around all the players (everyone seems to agree on the latter point). May have been a miracle for me, but setup was a breeze with a tracking force of 2.3g (1.8 â€“ 2.2g is recommended by manufacturer) and load of 100Ohms on the Pass Labs Xono working exceptionally well. The small 1.7mm cantilever was a selling point for me too, since I have great fear of ripping the needle out by accident though I havenâ€:tm:t yet. At the price, I think this is the MC to beat.”
