“Super strong sounding tube. The included biasing card was correct: these tubes are HOT! Running these in a fixed bias guitar amp, I had to change the value of the bias rail support resistor to put the adjustment pot in a range where I could access the proper range of bias voltages. No big deal, but just an FYI to others. I am very familiar with these 7591A's from EH and this set has that full, deep, dynamic sound. Big, focused midrange response. I have a NOS set of Phillips/Sylvania 7591A's that sound incredible but, compared to the larger bottle EH version, don't have the deeper bass and mid response. The EH version sounds a little closer to a 6L6GC (low freq depth and over-all dynamics) where the NOS Sylvania's sound a bit compressed similar to an EL84 or a 6V6. Both the NOS and the EH sound great, but it gets down to the application. That said, I am sure the EH's would sound good in any tube Hi-Fi amplifier. “Nice sounding EH 7591A in a 65 Gibson Amp. The Getter Flash on one however concerns me as it has a large hole similar to a Winged C Svetlana KT88 that went Nuclear in my Prima Luna Prologue5. Fingers crossed on this Pair. Dont get me wrong, i trust Upscale Audio more than ANY other Tube Seller and will definitely buy again!”

“The EH tubes are a good replacement for the original US (Westinghouse) tubes as these are very expensive and very rare in used condition, and unobtainable in NOS condition. The EH tubes are taller than the originals and look very good. They are quite affordable. Sound wise, they are less musical in the mids and upper ranges, but have more bass punch. Overall, I think they are very good to excellent. I did get the Cryo treatment, and I think it was a worthwhile upgrade.”
