“I’ve used EL34’s in two VTL ST-85 amps running in a bi-amp configuration for 20 years now. This is the best sounding, most reliable current production tube out there at the moment. Very open, nice 3D soundstage, punchy, deep bass, and crisp clear natural highs. My all time favorite is the Winged C, but those are no longer available. Recently tried JJ Tesla, and they were very unreliable . Three separate tubes completely died at various times over the past two years (didn’t blow a fuse, just completely dead when I went to bias amps). Also tried PS Vane, expensive, sound fantastic but very unreliable, they were constantly blowing fuses in my VTL’s (both amps are regularly serviced/maintained at VTL, by the way). Thanks for the great tubes Kevin and Upscale!”

“These tubes have given my AES Sixpacs more soundstage depth then I have experienced before. Great tubes matched perfectly for my amps. Along with the Russian 6SN7 tubes in my DJH Hot Rod preamp my system is perfect now.”
