This is my Second review of these after 2 months they have opened upen even more. The sound staging and imaging are huge. The micro details in the music you hear are first rate. Without being fatiguing, tight fast Bass when you set them right. Nice sweet spot. You are not stuck in a vice. Do not know why these speakers have not been more popular. They should have more Reviews. To me, They sound Better than the compatible Focal and Triangle Speakers I've heard. More Balanced They just keep getting Better After 2 more of Being played. Thank you Up Uncle Kevin and Upscale for the Sale and these wonderful sleeper speakers. Just Wonderful!!!

The Murano altos are simply superb and a huge upgrade from my KEF R3s which by themselves were great and I still love them but not in league of the Altos by more than a mile on all aspects from soundstage, imaging and ofcourse form factor has a role (floorstanders vs bookshelves). Btw, very easy to drive speakers, my reison MT34 15 Wpc in linear mode drives these very well. Lifetime deal for the current price...nothing beats this...

These speakers are absolute sleepers. I purchased them a few months ago and am blown away by the scale and finesse they bring into the room. I was also triggered by the price drop and Nemo's review of the bookshelf version. I have has Dyanudio Heritage Special (that bright esotar tweeter was irritating to me), PMC Twenty5.23, Mission 770 (new version) and a few others and these Alto Murano's are easily better at reproducing highs, mids and lows in my music room. I wish I would've purchased a pair in Mahogany for another room in my home. I've paired with Luxman 509X, HiFi Rose RA280 and Musical Fidelity M6si. All sound good, but the M6si brings more performance out of these speakers IMO. Highly recommend them and hope they continue to make them. In Mahogany too:) Thanks Upscale Audio.

I wouldn’t describe myself as an audiophile so my ability to describe sounds and my experience with other gear is limited, but I’ll share my thoughts so far. Saw these on sale and great review from YouTuber Nemo Propoganda, and decided to give it a go. I have had these for about six weeks and I’m very pleased with them. They’re very clear without being too bright, and they feel energetic. I think the ports probably took some time to break in, initially they were conspicuous (almost like someone was knocking inside the enclosure) and I had to use the supplied port plugs, but now I’ve taken them out and the speakers sound more blended and organic. I’m coming from Yamaha S501 powering dynaudio 2/7 bookshelves, and the sound stage for these is probably double the bookshelve’s. There’s more detail and clarity too, but I still enjoy the warmth of the dynaudios but now in a smaller room for those. I’m powering the cabasse with Hegel H190 and using cheapo Amazon 12 AWG speaker cables. Source is from bluesound nano streaming through tidal connect. However I started out first with just the cabasse hooked up to Yamaha S501 using analog input from a Bluetooth dongle that was streaming from my phone. Just by replacing the dynaudios with the cabasse, there was a large improvement in sound stage, but I had to use tone control on the Yamaha to turn down the treble, the inadvertent effect also receded vocals into the background more and shrunk the sound stage. Then I used my laptop to connect to the Yamaha which improved things. Then I got the Hegel and the tonality seemed more neutral. Then I got the bluesound (also from upscale audio) connected to the Hegel and everything just opened up. I don’t know if all those things collectively made small improvements and summed into a big improvement while at the same time the speakers were broken in, but overall very happy with the combined results. I have an SVS PB1000 handling the bottom end, and they feel a bit sluggish compared to the rest of the system. Not sure what to do about that, I might go for REL, but the system doubles with movie duties and I like the lower extension. Anyway, I’m very pleased with the speakers, albeit I’ve only really known my old system as comparison, but there’s nothing I don’t like about the cabasse, and they’re gorgeous as well (I got the lacquered white), and I look forward to listening every night.

The 50% off deal made it much more possible to make a real upgrade to my stereo system! I thought it sounded pretty good before, but the Cabasse Murano Alto speakers are on another level! For better recordings, I feel as if I am listening to actual instruments with beautiful tone, texture, and subtle nuances not noticeable before. Everything sounds more alive! Soundstage and instrument separation is way more apparent! I am powering them with the Music Hall a30.5, which probably tests more than the advertised 85/160 watts per channel at 8/4 ohms respectively. The speakers were packaged very securely.

I purchased the Murano Altos, spurred by notable price point from Upscale Audio and a glowing review of their bookshelf counterparts (sadly sold out). In short, these speakers are a revelation, especially as I aim to near the musical enjoyment of my vintage '70s McIntosh setup on a budget. The Altos are as much a visual statement as they are an auditory one. The piano white finish and impeccable build quality exude high-end sophistication. In my current non-critical listening setup—Wiim Ultra streamer and Yamaha A-S801 integrated amp replacing a Monitor Audio 100 and subwoofer 2.1 system—the Altos delivers refined and powerful sound. Bass is deep, controlled, and highly articulate, rendering the subwoofer unnecessary. Mids are lush and natural, while highs are clear and fatigue-free, even at sustained 80–90 dB levels. These speakers will soon pair with a vintage McIntosh C24 preamp and MC240 tube amp, where their strengths—deep, textured bass and expansive soundstage—will, I anticipate, shine. Already the Altos offer a significant low-frequency upgrade over my Altec Lansing Flamencos, which still bests in midrange and high-frequency projection but lack bass depth and precision at higher volumes. Thanks to Upscale Audio’s excellent support, I’m now the proud owner of a speaker that bridges classic and modern audiophile sensibilities. Highly recommended.
