“I'm amazed at how good my digital music sounds using this DAC. I have my Onix XST20 SACD player and my Bluesound Node Icon running through this and the soundstage is wider and the music is more dynamic. The VU meters are the crowning touch. Very glad I invested in this Bad Boy!”

“The DAC-Z10 is esthically pleasing and has decent ergonomics, a definite step up from my previous sub-$1000 DAC. To these aging ears the DAC-Z10 wrings out every little bit of performance available from the top-of-the line AKM DAC chip-set, and I suscpect any noticealble sonic improvement will come a a significantly higher cost than the DAC=Z10.”

“I'm very happy with my Z10 DAC/Preamp from Upscale Audio. It incorporates well with my Eversolo T8 Streamer. The preamp function of the Z10 is an under emphasized feature that adds value to the Z10, especially the analog resistor ladder volume control. The Z10 also includes a wide variety of digital and analog inputs providing connectivety for additional audio sources. I'm using the XLR outputs to connect to a Benchmark AHB2 amp, and the RCA outputs to feed two SVS subwoofers. Some features that could add value for some users, including me, might be: the choice of 4 volt XLR balanced output (rather than the fixed 5V), and 2 volt RCA unbalanced output (rather than just the fixed 2.5V); and, support for true subwoofer management (since it is a preamp). Thanks to Upscale Audio for exceeding my expectations in fixing a mistake I made when I placed the order.”
