This component does exactly what it sets out to do. It provides a one box that will play all digital sources (except SACDs) and can accept phono input.Like other Eversolo products it also accepts AirPlay and Bluetooth as sources. Eversolo products supportstreaming from all major services plus internet radio. Installing the unit is straightforward and it works well with either wired or wireless internt. Its sound is decent, no significant flaws, and the sound quality will depend on the capabilities of the speakers to which it is likely to be attached. It has enough power to play music at any reasonable volume through (e.g.) 85dB sensitivity speakers. It is perfect for an office system, or a starter system. I have purchased two, one for my wife's studio the other for my granddaughter.

I’m really enjoying my Eversolo Play. It works very well for my intended use. I chose the play to scale up the music in my studio/cave. The room is small so, I don’t need much power to fill it. I have it paired with Polk Audio bookshelf speakers. It drives them easily and the sound is phenomenal. I keep the volume between 1/3 and 1/2 in my space. I think it would sound as well in a medium sized room. Maybe a large room would require the addition of a subwoofer. It’s taking me some time to get used to the interface and I still have some exploring to do to get the most from it. Generally, potential complaints I might have may just turns out to be me getting used to the interface. One thing I’d like to see, would be having a customizable launch screen. So far, the only way I’ve found to change the source is deep in the menu. The touch screen on the device is responsive and an app on your phone or tablet is the remote. The app gives you lots of control and I still have a long way to go to learn all the ways to get the most out of it. I like the variety of screens during playback and find myself cycling through a few depending on my mood at the time. I would not use the interface of the play to manage the playlists of any of my streaming services but, I also never planned to use it in that way. It’s much easier to do that on the computer or my tablet and use the play to listen. One surprise is that I find myself exploring internet radio more than I have in the past because it’s as easy to access as my streaming services. I have to give the staff at Upscale some credit too. While I called with the Eversolo Play in mind, we spent a little time going through the pluses, minuses and considerations before I finalized the decision to go for it. So far, overall, I really like it and I’m happy I bought it.

The Eversolo Play is the BOMB!!! Great sound, the "swiss army knife" of great audio features and an interface that is so intuitive. Not an easy task for a product that does so many things so well. I waited for the Play to come out and I am so glad I did. Thanks to the outstanding guidance and support from Upscale Audio, I paired the right set of speakers (Fyne F500SPs) with the unit and the sound is phenomenal.
