“Honestly, when these first arrived I thought they were good, not great. In fairness my main system is running a pair of Wilson SabrinaX. So not exactly an apples to apples comparison. I kept on playing with placement and waiting on them to run in. Playing with subs..etc… Running them both with a Hegel H390 and A/Bing them…. Then all of a sudden, through some combination of burning in and setup tweaking, toeing in directly at me, it happened. Everything snapped into place, the tone, imaging, subs in sync…. And now I get it. These things are special. Vocals are almost eerily in the room with you. Vocals, imaging and tone are standout traits here. With a pair of REL 5/10s these things can go toe to toe with my Sabrinas. Besting them in some areas, although I am not going to say they are all around better. Of course at a quarter the price… Ironically as these are small speakers most people buying them will be restrained on space. However, If you can give these room to breathe and pair them with a pair of good subs these are more than enough for a 400-500 sqft room. Shockingly large sound stage. Bass is surprising as well and enough in smaller rooms. In larger rooms I would argue you are better off getting the F1-5s instead of the F1-8 and putting that 5k difference in a pair of subs. You will likely get more mileage doing so. be patient while these burn in and with placement. Getting it right with these will get you end game performance. They are addictive. Thanks to everyone who helped me out at Upscale. Everyone was very kind and gave me the time of day. Shop definitely feels like a group of people who enjoy the hobby and not salesmen. Finally, good call bringing Fyne Audio in. Very impressed.”
