“First time I've ever listened to a point source speaker. It is a different listening experience than my previous B&W N802's and I am impressed by the soundstage. I feel like I'm at the performance. The bass is unbelievable, the absolute evenness throughout the room is impressive as well. They present a sharper, more detailed sound than the B&W's, less laidback and more exciting. The cabinet finishes are beautiful, almost appear black at night. I also like the spike feet adjustment accessed from above. I do wish there some cloth grilles for the drivers though. I preferred the look of the B&W's with the grilles attached. I currently have around 110 hours on these, and my salesman told me to expect 200+ hours of run-in. So, I still expect some improvement to come, and then will experiment once again with speaker position. For run-in I am using a W4S ST500 class D amp along with my VAC Renaissance preamp. I plan to switch to my BAT VK55 tube amp in the future. I took a gamble on these, having never heard them in person. I perused YouTube clips and I was able to discern the basic sonic character of the speakers. Obviously, not exactly how they sound or will sound in my room. So far, I am pleased with the speakers.”

“Endgame Speakers (at least for me ) After upgrading my system over the past 3 years (Primaluna EVO 400 Power and Pre Amp, PL EVO 100 DAC and Auralic Aries 2.1 - incl. all new cables) I was looking for a pair of speakers to replace my 22 year old B&W 804S. Followed the recommendation made by my trusted advisor Sean (Smo) and "splurged" on a pair of FyneAudio F1-8S. These speakers are a perfect fit for my system and EARS. Best way to describe them is: MUSICAL ! They may not be fully burnt in yet (approx. 40 hours) but already create a beautiful soundstage with clearly defined instruments/voices with "foot tapping" musicality. Upscale will remain my first call for any Audio needs. Thanks”
