“I am using this as a preamp/headphone amp for my desktop computer. For my headphones, I use both the Sennheisser HD650 and the Sony MX1. The performance of this preamp is very good. It plays sweet and harsh even with my Audioengine A2+ powered speakers. This makes me feel to upgrade my speakers (lol-not funny). The tonal is balanced with great details. Bass is not boomy and voice is fabulous. With my headphone, the HD650 really shines. The clarity and bass is defined and smooth. Listening with it is not fatigue. Highly recommend this Felix Echo MKII.”

“This is an update on my previous review. The pop and noise was taken care of. I ordered a dental kit and used it to push the tube pin sockets together to get a better fit for the tubes and cleaned them . (The dental kit is what you need, just a hint if you do not know.) No issues since and it is sounding wonderful!! I have Phillips PCC88/6DJ8 in it right now and have been running these for quite a while. There is a older video out there with Uncle Kev talking about this tube. I bought my set from him when he was selling them in fact I have many tubes I bought from him and they all have been just great. Thank you, anyway the amp is for the money you cannot go wrong in fact I would love to buy another and still considering it but would like to step up a little however then there is the wife. I have so much equipment and NOS tubes I really do not know what to do with it all. . Uncle Kev has never let me down. I just bought the Cabasse Java MC speakers and they sound wonderful especially playing Jazz or blues. I know all is subjective but for my budget and setup all is well.”

“First I will say I really love this amp as in my previous reviews. I have had it about year and half now. It has worked great. However I am having trouble for what ever reason it does not like gold plated pin tubes. I do not get it. I put them in I get pops static. I put in a regular pin tube no issues sounds great. I take that same tube and put into another amp it works fine. i have tried several different tubes same thing.. Made sur pins are clean made sure the pin holes are clean no dice.. I do not know what is going on but it does not like them anymore. I am not talking cheap tubes here either. Anyway I guess no more gold pin tubes for that thing.. sounds crazy but it is fact. I do not get it.”
