“Got these Stash tubes for a pair of McIntosh MC 30s a month ago and by now the highs are warming up very nicely, the big bottom bass is sturdy, clear and actually very detailed even at lower volume. Love to hear the piano key tap up when the finger is lifted. Sweet. Quiet. Attentive. My listening is also warming in with an overall improvement that is most welcome, the instruments are in my living room and the pandemic is less tiresome. Waiting on a quad of GE 6L6GCs to comment on the mids. Also replaced the 12AX7s from Upscale so it's been a good month for listening!! Very happy about the new detail and clarity. Btw, driving 80s-era original Fortes through a CJ PV10AL and the mono blocks. The little Audioengine B1 seems to do the job for this all Tidal all the time listener. Great system for the investment and focus on tubes has been fun and very rewarding. Should add the Acoustic Revive RR777 wave generator which continues to amaze with the soundstage and depth it brings.”
