“Worth the coin. Moved from some JJs to Gold Lions for my phono preamp. The JJs were very decent for price but the improvement was immediate. Soundstage width and depth greatly improved. Very quiet tubes, nice clarity of bass, lush mids and highs and overall dimensionality, for lack of a better term. Warm but not muddled in any way. I’ve got about 50 hours and then they’re really starting open up. I’m glad I went back to tubes after a long, long time. These tubes really made me appreciate my current pre more than I already did. I had a couple of simple questions before purchasing, contacted Upscale by email and got a friendly and quick response. The tubes were packed well and arrived, and only a few days. Thanks to Kevin and gang. I will gladly do business with Upscale in the future.”

“I like these tubes. Without getting into exotic NOS... these are quality new build tubes with a warm-ish tone and clarity. And affordable... relatively speaking.”
