“Replaced the 12ax7 JJ stock tubes on Cronus magnum3. The highs became warmer & smooth but loose bit of air. Somehow using stock tubes I felt it has more airy which I like. Stock 12ax7 is a long plate. The Gold Lion replacement is shorter plate. I’m not sure if that makes any difference? Anyway it was just a different sound character depends on taste. Any recommendation to replace stock 12ax7 tubes to an even better?”

“Picked up two Gold Lion ECC83 / 12AX7, Kevin’s Stash, cyro today to replace the brimars I had in the center position of my EVO400. After less than an hour listening to them I am very impressed. Voices are deeper and clearer, mids are poppy and bass very deep. This amp sounds fantastic and tube rolling has been so much fun. Upscale is my all time favorite audio store.”

“Bought Kevin's stash, Gold Lion 12AX7 tubes, as a replacement for the stock tubes in my phono pre. Immediately heard a significant difference in the SQ. More lush mid-tones, deeper bass and transparency at the high end. First time to tube roll, and glad I did.”
