First and foremost, I have to give a huge shout out to Richard O'Neill from Upscale Audio. Absolutely, an example of world class service. Malcomb Baldrige level experience! I fought myself in the decision process as many of us do when making purchases like these. Richard had earlier walked me through my decision process while purchasing a Prima Luna EVO 400 Integrated. I had this paired with vintage Vandersteen 2 Ci's and two REL Classic 98's, so I was in no immediate rush to decide on new speakers.  (Great for, sales, right?) I kept coming back to FYNE Audio and the amazing Tannoy's that are on sale (2025) , but was self-debating the 8-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch in the Vintage Classic. The deciding factor to upgrade to the Vintage Classic Gold X SP was Richard's detailed discussion of the tweeter and crossover points as well as the quality of the SP line's components. What an amazing pair of speakers! I am hearing things in recording I never heard before. I have been collecting vintage audio equipment since 2017. I am sure many of you have been here! I just walked around the condo and if you include the 3 sets at a friend's home and the one set at the girlfriend's home I have 16 pairs. Opps forgot one, the powered monitors for the TV. Richard asked me "What is your goal?" My answer "To get off the speaker merry go round!" No promises, but I think I will settle in for quite a while with these beauties in my main listening room. The detail leaves me stunned. They are so coherent! Both with and without my subs the bass is luscious!   I am primarily a Jazz listener. Think Hank Mobley, Eddie Harris, Bill Evans, Chet Baker, ext. However, these speakers kill it on vocals! Old School Country "Outlaw" not "NashVegas Hick Pop!" Allmand Brother! I am listening to At Filmore East right now upstairs way off access, and I feel like I am stranding on the stage! (Tom Dowd Produced live recording) Some of the detailed guitar work and mix I am hearing in a Waylon Jennings album is unreal! I feel like I can understand the background voices in the club in Bill Evans Waltz for Debbie. I can't think of music that would not perform well on these! Do yourself a favor and go listen to this product!

These speakers look and sound incredible. I upgraded from the Klipsche Forte 3 and couldn’t be happier. The Fortes are awesome - super dynamic and forward, but the Fyne’s deliver that and so much more: effortless, huge sounding, revealing, punchy and refined. Shout out to Smo who hooked me up with one of the first pairs of these babies.
