“I'm using this device to rip my cd collection and it works well and produces a better result than simply ripping with a pc's built-in cd rom drive. Although the RSA780 ships without ripping software (it is designed to be used in conjunction with Hifi Rose streamers which have the necessary software but which I don;t have), I have found it works brilliantly utilizing the free "Exact Audio Copy" software. I have it connected to a laptop with a solid state drive with an upgraded USB A - USB B cable (I use an Atlas Cable USB Hyper cable. Atlas Cable is a Scottish company with highly rated products.) I find this setup works well. I'm very happy with my purchase and as always "thank you" to the professional friendly sales staff at Upscale.”
