“I'm into 80 hours of break in time and the Focal ARIA 936s sound fantastic. Full, clear sonics across the spectrum. They sounded really good right out of the box, and keep getting better with each listening hour. The setup sheet and disc provided by Upscale Audio, along with Bill's assistance were very helpful. Superior packing kept them safe from CA to NC. Highly recommend the speakers and Upscale Audio. Grazie Mille! My gear: McIntosh MC2102 Tube Power Amp, C8 Tube Pre, MCD301 CD player, and Rose Audio RS250 music server/streamer.”

“Fit and finish is 2nd to none, sounded fantastic right out of the box. Replaced 22 year old Boston acoustics VR950 two way speakers that sounded great but, the Arias have a bit more detail in mid range also a little more lower frequency range. Highly recommend..”

“Admittedly my previous speakers were not much to crow about but these, these have a sound, a presence that just takes nothing away from the music but let’s it breath and fill the room. I use these for both the stereo and the A/V and had seriously considered a center speaker but these just don’t seem to need the addition. And this black piano lacquer is just amazing. Like a Steinway just out of the show room. Highly recommended.”

“Terrific speakers don’t alone make a system. But you can create a great system around these terrific speakers. I’ve been through Revel, Usher and a boatload of vintage classics, and these have taken me near the edge of my critical listening capability. They’re detailed, smooth, balanced and neutral. Paired with my Primaluna Dialogue Premium Integrated, a high quality DAC and some listening room acoustic treatment, I’m as content as I can be. As another reviewer wrote, “these speakers are well worth full price. On sale, they’re a no brainer!””
