“These speakers replaced some Heresy III's (& a Klipsch RW-12II sub). My intent was to get sufficient bass out of my floor standers and ditch the sub. Mission accomplished. The bass is strong, tight, and easily influenced with DAC and cable selection. The new midrange design of the Forte is a lot more pleasant and not as punishing as the Heresies. I am now able to run silver plated copper in the signal chain without harshness. No more fatigue means longer and more frequent listening sessions. I have them positioned 11" from the back wall, 6.5' apart (center to center, no toe in), in a 14' x 22' foot room. I just love the Heritage sound & style. They are a lively, fun, no nonsense, and honest speaker. If you have garbage in your system or recording you will know it. Conversely, if you feed them well they will thrive! These are as fun and raw as driving an old school muscle car. If you want the experience of a refined Lexus then buy different speakers and brag about them at the local cigar lounge :) Current system: Primaluna EVO 300 integrated, Klipsch Forte III (distressed oak) on top of Aurelex sub dude HT platforms, Cambridge CXC transport, Schiit Yggdrasil DAC, power cables by Signal Cable Co., Signal Cable silver reference digital cable & interconnects, Mogami 3104 single bi-wire speaker cables by Take Five Audio.”
