I bought the Heresy speakers in the teak finish with lambswool grill. This is a special finish that Upscale Audio routinely stocks but other retailers do not. I agree with a previous reviewer, they have a much more rich and attractive grain than any of the other listed finishes. They sound great, they look great, and I love being able to buy a product made in the US. Additionally, there was an out of stock problem when I first placed my order, and Ken the sales manager took great care of me. Fully recommend these guys.

I bought the Heresy speakers in the teak finish with lambswool grill, without knowing what that veneer looked like. This seem to be a limited edition that currently (2025) doesn’t show up on the Klipsch website. They still seem to be available on the Upscale Audio site, but I couldn’t find any photos of this particular finish anywhere on the web. The point is, if you’re considering the teak finish, it does look awesome…a much more rich and attractive grain than any of the listed finishes in my opinion. In general, I love the low, solid stance of these speakers. Because of their simplicity, mid-century design and obvious build quality, they won’t be mistaken for any other brand. I paired these speakers with my non-audiophile Marantz PM5003 integrated amp (40 watts) and Marantz CD player. No tubes, no vinyl. Since these are set up in my basement where I work out, and where there are no chairs, there was no audiophile set-up for a stereo sweet spot. But that hasn’t diminished my enjoyment. To my ears, the speakers sounded great right out of the box. I’ve listened for about 30 hours, and supposedly they’ll sound better as they get more broken in, but I’m not sure I’ll ever notice that. In summary, you get great sound, a great look, and pride of ownership.
