“My reference system which I’ve had for three years to which I am comparing to the new system. Purchased from UpScale Audio Room size; 13.5 ft wide and 35 ft deep (the between the listening room and kitchen) is open space. Speakers placed along narrow dimension. Speakers; Klipsch Cornwall IV Subwoofers; Pair of REL Carbon Special Audio source; Aurender A10 streamer, MoFi Ultimate turntable with Sumika Blackbird MC cartridge and Manley Chinook MK2 Amplifier; Primaluna EVO 400 integrated Wiring; Unbalanced Mogami interconnects and Mogami speaker wire My New system. Room size 13 ft deep and 15 ft wide. Speakers are placed along the long dimension. Speakers; Klipsch Jubilee (not the Underground Jubilee) Audio source; Aurender A20 streamer Amplification; Primaluna EVO 400 Preamp and two Primaluna EVO 300 Power amplifiers Wiring; balanced Mogami interconnects and Mogami speaker wire My impression of the reference system; I was completely satisfied with the entire system. Amazing sound and capable of Pi***** off the neighbors, but when the Jubilee was announced I was not looking for another system but all descriptions of what the Jubilee achieved was an “improvement” over the CW, so I had the means to invest in another system. So I ordered them in January 2022 from UpScale Audio, I identified the speakers I desired and asked for their recommendations for supporting equipment, which I bought what was recommended, since they were successful with their recommendations on my first system and I enjoyed working with them and trusted their opinions since there is no opportunity to personally audition this level of audio equipment. My impression of the new system; Speakers received July 1, 2022, the rest of the equipment arrived within a month of placing my ordering My expectations were exceeded; The realism, dynamics and ease of producing a very enjoyable sound. I had a list of the first music I wanted to play but because I forgot how to set the A20 to play selected music I played Qobuz radio sections and choose the Bay Area Jazz channel and set back to listen. What happened next was not what I expected. The physical size of the speakers dominated my thoughts, I was thinking “what have I done?” These speakers dominate everything in the room. The speakers dominated my attention so I closed my eyes to focus on the music I slowly drifted into another space as the music played and envisioned I was at a restaurant with my wife shortly after we were married, this would have been a rare event when we were first married, we could barely afford an occasional takeout, but there we were (in my mind) being with the woman I fell so completely in love with, the jazz musicians were around the table and the jazz station announcer became the waitress. There was no distractions via the realistic reproduction of the music and the special voice of the announcer/waitress. That scenario lasted about an hour, a very enjoyable memory which will forever remind me of the first experience with the Jubilee and my lovely wife. We were married for 47 years when she past away three years ago from AML. Not all memories of marriage are good but this experience with my eyes closed listening to the realism of the sound surrounding us brought back a much needed reminder of just how much I loved her. The music and the voice of the announcer/waitress was reproduced so realistically and sensual that all together it made for a memorable experience. That is what I will always remember when asked what do I think of the Jubilees. WAF may be on the low side of “not in our home are you going to bring those into this house.” But if realism of sound is the common goal these speakers would achieve that objective.
