My last two sets of speakers have been from Klipsch (Heresy III, Forte III). Although I love the lively Klipsch sound, they can be a bit forward for my taste during longer listening sessions. I was looking for a new set that was dynamic, punchy yet not too forward in the mids-top end. The Missions caught my eye and I decided to take a risk without a demo. Fast forward, I am very pleased with the result. These are really well damped and really punchy & dynamic for a two-way. I am really enjoying these in my mid-fi system paired with my Rogue Audio Pharaoh II (w/dark upgrade) integrated amplifier, Rotel CD 14 MKII, Geshelli Labs J2s DAC with Burson V7 Classic op amp, Sbooster and iFi power supplies, and Audioquest power conditioner. I had an issue with one of the boxes and it was resolved by Upscale customer service. Overall, I am very pleased.

My experience in the showroom was positively top notch. Everyone was knowledgaeable and friendly. My opinions were respected and the staff was willing to put in as much time as I needed. I was there to audition two speakers. One of which was the Mission 770. Based on its performance & aesthetics I ended up purchasing. I was warned to give the speaker approximately 100 hours to settle in. I am roughly 1/2 way through that process now. In short, the Mission 770 is everything I was hoping it would be. Detailed, expansive with exceptional timbre and instrument seperation. I am exceptionally happy with them and would recommend Upscale Audio if you are in the market for any of your audio needs.

Wanted to wait for at least a month before I could objectively give these speakers a fair review. The Mission's are exactly what I was hoping for. My current speakers, QAcoustics 3050's, have that perfectly "neutral" sound that is best for my ears. The Mission's retain that sound, with better 3D dispersion in my listening area. The Mission's, like the QAcoustics, presents the music as is; if it's a bad recording, that is how you hear it. Good recordings sound good, well-mastered recordings sound... fantastic! These are speakers that let me listen to the music and not the equipment. Acoustic guitar, vocals, jazz, and electronic, all have a natural presentation, with zero fatigue over long listening sessions. As for my equipment, power is fed by an EVO300 integrated, Denafrips Ares II DAC, Bluesound Node2I, Lehmann Black Cube SEII, MoFi Ultradeck w/UltraTracker cartridge, OPPO BDP105 used as a SACD/CD transport, and a 1980 Technics RS-M45 Direct Drive cassette deck. There is also a REL S/510 helping to tie in the low frequency. These are keepers, highly recommended!!!
