“Simply stated, the Monitor Audio Silver 300 7G is at list, a great speaker and great value. On sale, they are perhaps the best value in audio today. And I also own KEF LS-50s, Magnepan LRS, and JBL (Home Theater) speakers. They are as dynamic as any, and refined as well. Their dual tunable port design allows placement closer to rear walls than most towers without bloating the bass or muddling vocals. Their soundstage is adequately spacious as is individual instrument definition. Their only real shortcomings are maximum output level, and limited bass under 40Hz, both not much different than any 2X6.5" woofer design. I can't imagine anyone being seriously disappointed with these, and I can imagine most listeners being seriously thrilled.”
