“I ordered this to add a CD/SACD player to my setup while at the same time upgrading my streamer. What an upgrade! Everything filled in, little nuances became more pronounced and production details became more defined. The DAC is worlds better than the Bluesound it replaced. Whether Streaming or CD/SACD, both are close to vinyl sound quality in terms of compression. I do have to say the streaming APP is a little wonky at times, but overall and excellent addition. Kat is always my go to whenever I get ready to add a piece of gear. She always gives me her honest opinions and has never tried to persuade me to buy something more expensive. Sales people like her make buying things like this much easier, especially when there are very few places to audition high end equipment in the area.”

“I've had half a dozen CD players and DAC's in my system in the past few years. None of them made me feel engaged with the music like my vinyl setup. That changed the moment the Mark Levinson No.5101 started playing. It has all the capabilities one could ask for in a digital music player! I use it as a CD/SACD player, DAC and as a streamer. It excels at all these functions. I couldn't imagine hi-res files streaming could ever sound this good. Going through my CD/SACD collection and hearing it in a new and magical way. Highly recommended!”

“Mark Levinson ML 5101 is the best Cd player I have ever had! I had used at least 6 different CD player price ranges from $600-$8000 List price within last ten years, but none of them sound as good as ML 5101. IMO, the best to pair it with any Mark Levinson products. I’m using it with Mark Levinson integrated amplifier 585. Everything is improving from low frequency to high frequency, especially midrange. Thank you Uncle Kevin for a trade! highly recommended it!!!”
