“I have wanted a Marantz receiver since the early 80's.... after quite a bit of research and time spent looking at different integrated amps I chose the 40n. This integrated amplifier is awesome. The sound is ribbon smooth and very clean. I had no idea I would enjoy streaming music so much, I primarily use Tidal and do it through the HEOS app. The sound quality is amazing, absoulutely amazing. Aside from the Marantz "house" sound being so good, there are ways using the menu on the amp to make the sound even cleaner by turning off things that you are not using, eg...you can set the network and USB to off, turn the wifi off, bluetooth, HDMI turns off, and it has a "Lock Range" to reduce "jittering and provide and even clearer sound". This amplifier is incredible and will be one that is most sought after in years and decades to come.... just like the 2270 from the early 70's.”

“This integrated is everything and more that the reviews have been raving about. Yes, I'm a die-hard tube guy, but I had three goals for my summertime listening this year: 1) I needed a solution that would not generate the immense heat that my tube amps/preamps radiate into my great room during the hot Colorado summer. 2) I've recently gotten into hi-rez streaming and didn't want to lay down big bucks for a standalone streamer box. And 3) I have a fairly large vinyl collection and wanted an integrated solution to spin lp's. The Marantz 40n met all of my criteria and then some. I also find it convenient to plug the ARC hdmi output from my Fire tv into the hdmi input on the 40n. With this, I don't need a home theatre preamp/receiver to enjoy high quality tv sound. I'll defer to the professional reviewers on the 40n's sound. Suffice it for me to say that it is dynamic, smooth, detailed and layered with killer bass and slightly romantic sounding in the midrange. I'm very happy with this purchase. Since I'm an Android guy, I use the BubbleUPnp app on my phone to control the 40n and stream Qobuz, as well as other streaming services and attached usb storage files. Finally, my thanks to Joel at Upscale. We chatted on a late Friday morning, and I had my 40n the following Monday morning. Great product, great service, and I got a great price.”

Thank you so much for your review, Denny! Marantz is the brand we recommend to audiophiles who don't want to spend too much on a second system or HT system, want all the connectivity, and also want good sound. We've pass your kind words on to Joel.
