“Excellent Integrated Amp. It takes a few weeks to fully break in but when it does the sound quality is unreal. This amp has tons of power. The only downside is no bass, treble or balance knobs, but that’s a very small sacrifice for an amp this good. Very happy with it.”

“This item replaced a Musical Fidelity A5 integrated amp which was dying. It is very clear and really excellent spatial placement of instruments in a broad soundscape. The bass is particularly clean and tight. Overall it's a bit cold, which will perhaps fade with time as either the electronics or my ears adjust. I like it a lot, but I'm not totally blown away.”

“In short, a simply marvelous amplifier! It still puzzles me though that —gasp—-I actually returned a Hegel 190; as it seemed not to be able to drive my 4ohm Philharmonic BMRs at all listening levels. For example, at the 7 and 8 o’clock volume control levels there was virtually no sound. It was only when the control was turned to 9 o’clock and above, that I could experience reasonably loud orchestral sound. But the Hegel’s limit was the 12 o’clock position! The M5si produced full sound even at low listening levels. Spectacular sound at much higher levels. It was simply thrilling!”

“Joel recommended the Musical Fidelity M5SI to power my Focal Aria 926 and the sound is amazing. The amp ran a bit warm after 30 minutes of play, but overall, a terrific amp. I also have the Bluesound Node 2i and Focal 300P sub hook to the amp. I repacked all my audio components for our pending move, but once we settle down in our new home (2 weeks from now), I look forward to giving the amp greater play. Amazing amp and at a great price!”
