I bought two platinum pairs about 2 years ago. I love these tubes I use them in a Schiit Lyr2. I bought two more pairs so that I will always have these tubes to listen to. It's not like they're making any more of them.

Bought a pair of these along with a NOS Mullard CV4004, also from Upscale to replace the new new manufacture Tung-Sol's that came with my Bob Carver Crimson 275 because they were a little harsh for my tastes. This combo of Mullards made a very noticeable improvement in both the bass and mid range. The bass now has more bottom end and some real grunt to it, and the mid range gained some extra presence which has steadily increased and become even more revealing as they get some burn in time on them. I'm constantly noticing sounds of instruments in recordings that I'm very familiar with that never stood out before. These are some really sweet sounding tubes.

At start I was afraid of the strange sound that these tubes were generating. After 200h of listening, now they sound very good!

I pitted the Mullards against the Siemens & Halske E81CC - 1960s MINT NOS NIB 3-MICA 6201 Munich W. German Prem. ECC81 12AT7 tubes. The Mullards ‘bested‘ the Siemens both in sound & noise quality. That is...the Mullards were more organic & held a zero noise floor (no crackling or buzzing or RF artifacts heard).
