Recently replaced a pair of Mullard CV4024/12At7s with the 6201s in my Manley Stingray. They are a very nice upgrade. It was easy for my 67yr old ears to tell the difference. As you said just a bit more on top and bottom without losing any of the musicality that old Mullards excel at. As the cliché goes highly recommended!

They are in a pair of Carver mono block tube amps, replacing stock new production Tung Sol 12 AU 7’s in the pre driver stage. (I had already replaced the 12 AX7 in the input stages with New production Mullards, Kevin’s Stash/ cryos., and kept the stock Tung Sol KT-120 power tubes) On initial start up they were a little brighter, but after about 20 hrs, they have added an extra layer of midrange smoothness and depth. Percussion is faster, the start and stop of notes is more defined. I played an analog track from Diana Krall’s The Girl in The Other Room......”Narrow Daylight”..... all I could do was say “wow!” , play it 3 more times..... and say “wow!” all over again.....Breathtaking. Thanks for making these available Uncle Kev!

Using as backup for my cryo Mullard CV4024. Have not listened to it yet. Based on how much I like the 4024, I am sure it will be excellent.

These are extremely quite. As driver tubes and matched with the Gold Lion preamp tube I got from Upscale is a match made in heaven. So beautiful. Best tubes from upscale.

Used them to replace same Mullard’s with about 5,000 hours on them. Improvement was modest, I could have delayed, but it was there, and worth it to me.
