Not one to give 5 stars for anything lol and want to try a few different ones like Telefunken. But, in my Astin Trew AT3500plusIC CDP, with Electrocompaniet PI-2 amp and Martin Logan Electromotions, there's a significant improvement. This replaces the fitted Philips JAN (Sylvania, USA on tube). The Mullard exhibits more dimension, detail and smoothness. It's better in every aspect than the original fitted one. I'd certainly recommend the Mullard.

I got one for my daughter's Peachtree iDecco and brings to the performance of the iDecco to new and much higher than expected level. Simply magnificent.

I have tested about every NOS 6922 on the planet and the Mullard 6922 is the sonic benchmark for them all. Top gun at any price, hock your Rolex and buy a supply of these quiet, ultra musical, neutral, smooth, dynamic masterpieces. Better is every way to current production including the stupid expensive EAT tubes and the very good but over priced Tellies and Bugle Boys. Not to be missed!! The best by a country mile.

I got these for my Pathos Classic One Mk II. For a tiny fraction of the total cost of my system, there is a fairly dramatic overall performance gain. Pacing, dynamics, detail, decay - it's all (very!) good. The end result is music that is just more engaging. I had the tubes cryogenically treated, for the trivial cost, it seems like a no-brainer. Kevin delivers the goods again.

Retubing a Conrad Johnson LP70S amp ... was delighted with the Ediswan in the CJ 17LS2 preamp ... this Mullard 2493 (suggested by Mr Deal) was the ideal upgrade for the amp. Warm, detailed soundstage (what Mr Deal called "a little more sparkle") made this amp sing. Kevin has never steered me wrong ... he knows tubes and their setting.
