“Excellent tube roll that keeps getting better I recently installed the Mullard ECC82 / 12AU7 Special Low-Microphony with U-Shaped Support Rod (Kevin’s Stash / Yes Cryo) as the driver tube in my Auris Nirvana VI. After roughly 47 hours of listening, the improvement is very noticeable and very enjoyable. The mids and vocals have gained a beautiful new sweetness and natural texture that really stands out. The overall presentation feels more refined and cohesive — the system just keeps getting “finer” as the tube ages. Paired with my Gold Lion KT66 power tubes and HiFiMAN HE1000se planars, everything sounds more musical while maintaining the 100% black silence I’ve achieved. Kevin’s selection and the cryo treatment really make a difference. This has been one of the most worthwhile tube rolls I’ve done.
