“CV4004s were purchased to provide an expanded listening experience for my PrimaLuna Prologue 5. I can provide the contrast to my ears of these compared to the stock PL 12AX7s, Old stock H.H. Scott branded 12AX7 from my Scott 299 and Telefunken 12AX7s. The Mullard CV4004 provides more warmth and detail in comparison to the stock PL 12AX7s. I'll put it like this the reproduction Mullard 12AX7 makes me just as happy as the H.H. Scott branded and Telefunken tubes from 1960ish in my particular setup to my ears.”
