The N150 is awesome. Great sound and works flawlessly. The Conductor 4 app, however, I am not too fond of. Very confusing trying to navigate thru Tidal. I can't use My Daily Discovery, or find my Tracks or Albums. I wish the N150 would pair directly with Tidal Connect.

Stepped up from an Eversolo DMP-A6 to this. The unit looks and feels very well made and its slim narrow profile does not take up a lot of height or width on my rack. The sound quality was a nice improvement to what I have but was a step backwards in terms of software setup/usability with my locally stored NAS files. It’s a bit annoying that you need to download and install an additional app on a pc, in order to build a database that the Aurender can use in order to search, play, etc in the conductor app. It also cannot read playlist files (I used to do more desktop pc listening and the ability to go to my 2 channel setup and play the same playlist was nice with my previous node 2i). All in all, the conductor app has worked out so far and I am still getting used to conductor app. It has been a better experience software wise vs Auralic, but definitely miss some things when I had Eversolo and the BlueOS app.

The N150 replaces a Windows 10 laptop as my music server and plays CD rips and high-resolution PCM and DSD downloads stored on a user-installed internal 4TB solid-state drive (Aurender's rear-panel drawer design makes drive installation a snap). The difference heard in playback is transformational, owing in no small part to the N150's ability to eliminate signal-polluting noise from the audio output. The unsubtle improvement manifests itself in more accurate tonality, greater dynamic punch and scale, more precise image placement and three-dimensionality, airier and more expansive soundstaging (where embedded in the recording), greater transient "snap," and the unmasking of previously-undiscernible detail. If I had to boil the difference down to a single phrase, I'd invoke Cole Porter--"night and day". And that would still undersell it. The N150 has elevated my listening enjoyment--to classical, jazz, film scores, vocals, mass choral, Broadway, and a smattering of opera--to a level I hadn't expected. Just minutes after the N150 arrived on my doorstep, I received an email from an Upscale Audio staffer with Aurender expertise. He offered me assistance should any issue with the unit or its application arise. So far, none has--and I've logged more than 250 hours of playback time on the N150--but I'm impressed with the customer service attitude expressed in that email. So both the N150 and Upscale Audio rate a 5.0 out of 5.0 in my book.

Using the Android app and writing this about 100 playback hours after installing a 4TB solid-state drive (a snap) in the N150. The Aurender replaced a Windows 10 laptop as the music server in my primary audio system. The listening difference with classical, jazz, film scores, massed choral, vocal standards, and a smattering of both Broadway and opera is night-and-day, owing largely to the N150's ability to elicit considerably more "quiet" from the background. Previously masked detail is now more evident, the soundstage (where appropriately engineered) more expansive, imaging more precise and three-dimensional, tonality and its nuances more fleshed=out natural, transients snappier, and dynamic impact and scale more visceral. The overall effect brings me significantly "closer" to the recorded performance. A note on Upscale service: I online-ordered the N150 on a Friday morning, it shipped out that afternoon, and arrived at my Oregon doorstep early on Monday afternoon. Minutes after it was delivered, I received an email from an Upscale staffer with Aurender experience who offered assistance if I need it. I haven't so far--the unit has performed flawlessly, and the app didn't take long to figure out--but I'll know who to turn to should I need help. A 5.0 out of 5.0 for both the N150 and the vendor.

I was considering a different brand streamer with several bells and whistles. Sean did a thorough needs assessment with me and determined that I truly didn’t need all of the fancy stuff. He stated that if I wanted honest to God incredible performance, I should consider the Aurender N150. I was a bit skeptical, but Sean assured me, as he has always done in the past, so I trusted him, as I have done in the past. He was right; this thing is incredible! You can tell right out of the box that it is crafted with care and of the highest quality. After setting it up and playing my favorite tunes, I was speechless at how different and better and true to life it made the music sound in my room. I upgraded from a BlueSound Node, which was good. The N150 through my PrimaLuna Evo 100 DAC and PrimaLuna Evo 400 Integrated, through my Klipsch Forté 4s and my stereo pair of REL S812 Subwoofers really came together how I’d hoped it would. I highly recommend this tiny, but mighty streamer! I also highly recommend Sean as your Upscale Audio salesperson. Great guy and knowledgeable about the products he sells. I appreciate his honesty and integrity. Great experience every time! Thank you
