The Nait 50 amp sounds great, and this is an awesome deal from Upscale audio!! The amp it is on the warmer side, but it is also lively enough to handle bass with no mudiness. The Nait 50 not a powerhouse with 100-200+ watts, but what people say about "Naim watts" or "Salisbury watts" is true. The amp can handle difficult loads, and it just plays with the type of ease that one would expect from a more powerful amp. I primarily use the Nait 50 with my Focal Vestia bookshelf speakers, which are a great match. The speakers are laid-back and the amp is on the lively side so they play with great synergy. I also tried it with my Zu Dirty Weekend speakers, which are easy to drive and quite efficient. Although the Zu speakers are lively, and a lively amp may not be the best choice, the Nait 50 has enough warmth to sound great with the easily driven Zu Dirty Weekends. Just remember to adjust the volume accordingly. On the opposite side of the speaker sensitivity spectrum, I have also used the Naim Nait 50 to drive Magnepan LRS+ speakers. While the LRS+ normally need at least 100watts to sound their best, the fact that the Nait can handle difficult loads means it can handle the LRS+ speakers. The amp sounds lively and spacious with the LRS+ given the smaller size of my room and my penchant for not playing at excessive volumes. If you are someone who likes to push 90+ db or if you have a really large space to fill with volume the Nait 50 Magnepan pairing may not be ideal; however, it works for me. The two downsides are the lack of a remote volume adjustment and the DIN inputs. These two issues really don't bother me. I have an RCA source switcher with remote volume control so the lack of remote controlled volume on the amp is not an issue. Also, there are several companies who make RCA to DIN cables so the inputs are not an issue either. While these are not problematic issues for me they may impact someone else's decision to purchase the amp; however, I think many people would look past these minor issues given how great the amp sounds.
