“Glad to have scored what looks like the last Naim XS pre/power amp bundle. First of all, hats off to Upscale Audio for having this outstanding deal available, an excellent double box packing, and fast shipping. As for the unit itself, it's fantastic. I am blown away how clear, fast, precise and "square-edged" it sounds. No sound detail is unnoticed - you're literally hearing everything there is in the mix. But besides being insightful, it's also quite musical. Another thing I appreciate is the Naim's purist approach to building audio equipment. Everything here has its exact purpose and nothing without it exists. It doesn't offer a DAC, or a phono stage, because with separates why would you need one. Or if you need one, why would you consider a Naim? ;) I'm not entirely sold on Naim's DIN connections but tethering the pre to the power amp to feed the 24v power to pre and line level input to power via the same cable is quite brilliant.”
