Well, i have spent a little over $30K at UpScale the past nine months and I love all my new tube gear, high end interconnects, cables and what-nots....BUT....the one "component" that brings it all together...is...........wait for it......the AQ Niagara 3000. Competitively priced, barely an arm (saved a leg for another purchase), it is wonderful to know all my new gear is getting sweet A/C conditioned via this unit. I used the 1200 until the 3000 came available, and /3000 really does the job. I don't have all the audiophile lexicon down, but quiet as a church mouse comes to mind. There is zero noise that is audible anywhere in my system...sure, put a super sensitive measuring device and maybe you get a number...but that gizmo Kevin uses in the one video demonstrates how the A/C power gets the noise booted out and sent home to momma...I purchased all this Prima Luna tube gear and it just didnt seem wise not to have a power conditioner; and yes, i saved a few thousand dollars by going this way...but to tell you the truth...I don't think my ears hear any noise whatsoever. One purshases peace of mind with this unit; all the equipment plugged into it is protected; has the reserve power for the high output when the tubes wantta punch somethin out. While $30K is not so much to spend on a decent system, $3000 aint much to spend on a high quality noise dissipation system. Audio Quest power cables Storm Series THUNDER from wall to unit; and from the unit to the tube amp...Kevin won't BS you on this and neither will I...it's a practical investment that you know is there, you sense it's presense in the music, and the rest of the system thanks you for it...Get any one of these units you can...much better than buying ISO Feet for your listening chair....Rock On Team Up Scale!!!!

OK; This is a COMPONENT; it's as important as many of my other pieces. I bought the new Prima Luna 400 tube amp and preamp and wanted to make sure, the A/C going into the units were properly conditioned. Here is what I do know for sure. I have wanted tube gear for 50 years and I finally got it. I am spoiling my tube gear, as I spoil myself, by purchasing this conditioner. It's a hefty unit with excellent build quality. I was thinking, why buy expensive tube equipment if I am still going to have World War 2 A/C electrical service coming out of the outlet into my Prima Luna gear. SO, the price for this unit is worth it for the peace of mind it achieves. Whether I am listening to analog/LP or digital SACD, my sound stage is wide and deep...but I'd expect that. What is nice, is everything is a quiet as that proverbial church mouse. Between tracks on a 180 gram piece of vinyl or between tracks on a SACD, there is silence...nothing...naddah....and I am pretty certain, without the Niagara 3000 doing all it's magic for ALL of my equipment, I might have a little bit of noise in there that would sadden my tube experience. NOPE....I know I have many hours to "burn" in all this new equipment...but knowing my power is conditioned and my stereo tube equipment is protected, I am excited to know the system I am building today, will be the system I listen to throughout my retirement. IF YOU ONLY buy one item this year, that you don' t think is a component, buy this one.. It's a great investment that enhances everything you plug into it. I thoroughly enjoy knowing my crappy WW2 era electric system is being conditioned with a 21st century piece of technology....and dont forget to get a great power cable for it as well. Audio Quest has them, of which I have many!!!
