“If you like Marantz receivers and need to modernize, you will love it. I bought this to replace my aging Marantz SR6001 (no video inputs) for use in my living room. Provides the exact same "Marantz experience" in a compact form factor. At 22 lbs it's not heavy (my SR6001 weighs 45lbs!), but still has a reassuring 'hefty' feeling when you pick it up. As a home entertainment system receiver it works seamlessly with my Harmony Elite remote, defaulting to my preferred surround mode for each source input. Amazon Firestick works great plugged directly into "Media Player" input. The Firestick Home page displays instantly on my TV when switching to it from another video input. I'm not sure if this means the the Firestick is always "on" but don't see a reason to care since it works perfectly. As a "traditional" Audio receiver it drives my Paradigm Monitor v.3 front speakers very well in stereo mode. Very low noise and 'hiss' and speakers sound great all the way to whatever unreasonable volume level I choose :-) I don't know anything about "sound stage, imaging" or any of fancy words used to describe equipment performance. But I know what I like when I hear it, and this receiver sounds and performs great!”
