“This is my fourth headphone amp and it far exceeds the other three. I use it with Focal Utopia headphones and the sound quality is quite terrific. I have not tried the Pathos with other headphones but I suspect that it would be great. I use it to stream ripped CDs from my network storage and it works a treat. I would certainly but it again.”

“I picked up this unit to drive my Hifiman Susvara, and on that front, it has already exceeded my expectations in spades. But the real unexpected revelation is the performance it has brought out of my Hifiman He-6SE, another hard to drive headphone in the Hifiman arsenal which wasn't doing as well with other amps when compared with the Susvara. Well, I can confidently say now that the Pathos InPol Ear has managed to get the He-6SE performing in the same league as the Susvara, to the point where it wouldn't surprise me if some users prefer it over the Susvara, depending on their own tastes of course. As for me, I am still working on determining my preferences. I have not even started rolling some of my premium NOS tubes on the unit yet, since I am just reaching the end of my 500 hour "burn-in" period. I have so far been using some Genalex Gold Lions on the InPol Ear, and while they are decent, I do not think they perform on the level of my NOS Reflektor Holy Grail or Telefunken CCA tubes (with Gold pins and gold rods). In other words, there is still some way to go discovering just what wonders this amp is capable of. Still, I have liked of what I have heard so far, and enough to award it a ringing 5 star rating. Bravo, Pathos!”
