“Absolutely amazing phono stage. I replace a Sutherland Insight which is excellent and clean by the way.the Primaluna tube phono stage dramatically improved my sound stage and is very detailed. Please keep in mind that you must break it in. It took about 200 hrs for it to bloom. If you swap out tubes it will still sound good but you need to break in new tubes which is less time then breaking in the whole unit right out of the box. This is killer phono stage and worth every penny.”

“I recently upgraded to the EVO 100 from a Sutherland 20/20. The Sutherland is an awesome phono stage but I wanted to get back to tubes and man I couldn't be happier. I was looking at the Manley but when talking to Richard he brought up the Primaluna since it is all tube based at every stage. It is utterly amazing. I also upgraded my turntable but was able to spend some time with the EVO 100 and my old set up and it was a huge jump up in quality. Even with it being all tube based, it's even quieter than the solid state 20/20. You get all of the joys of tubes with a truly holographic 3d soundstage and mid-range joy with even more detail. It's damn near perfect. I do recommend leaving it on for 72 hours after you get it as it does make a profound improvement in sound quality. I will eventually do some tube rolling but even with the stock tubes it's punching way above it's price.”

One of my factory-installed MC tubes arrived faulty and Bill expedited the delivery of a replacement tube very quickly. I will not hesitate to purchase equipment from Upscale Audio again.”

“It's still new and breaking in, but I love it already. Nice, solid soundstage, airy high end and tight low end. A definite upgrade. I would recommend anyone looking for a phono stage to audition this.”

“I absolutely love this. There's zero noise, it smacks down articulate sound like nobodies business. I had a solid state unit that sounded great but after getting this unit I sold my solid state and wont go back. The sound isn't just having the tube character but it really allows the tube stages to shine when the brittle top end comes in off a record, it smooths it off into a marvelous chime with no agitating or distortion. When the record might bump off overly warm bass the tube phone stage merges these tones away from each other and separates them fully so you can hear individual bass sections all at the same time. I found my solid state really just was more in your face and a condensed sound stage. This phono stage opens everything up and makes it sound very wide and carries a lot of detail I was missing from my pro-ject balanced box. If I would have known I would have got this first. I recommend this to anyone I can and it's probably my favorite sounding phono stage and I've heard a few lately. You really can't beat it for the price either. It's very impressive sounding. After rolling some tubes I can say the quality was stupendous sounding and I can't imagine what others have done or what tubes they used to make any negative reviews. This is a best of a phono stage.”
