Was extremely satisfied with my EVO 200 Integrated Amp. Beautiful sound. Until a tube started going south in the right channel and started making horrible popping noises in my right speaker. The red light was blinking as it should, so I replaced it with a brand new tube, but lo and behold still noise from my right speaker. So don't know. no red lights showing a bad tube. I've had tube amps before, never experiencd this.

Hi Larry, We are sorry to hear there was a tube issue with your unit. Though rare, like getting a flat tire, tubes sometimes act up. No other tube amplifier does so much right with tube issues as a PrimaLuna. We reviewed your purchase and found that the new product warranty still covers you. Don't hesitate to contact our service issue, they have always been able to get our clients back to listening music ASAP.

As a child I remember a certain sound music had when listening to my Moms stereo console that i am now positive had tube amplification. Well now I own that sound by getting the evo 200 integrated amp. I streamed music like Aretha, Al Green, Otis Redding to my Klipsch Forte IV’s and YUP that sound I’ve been missing is back! Beautiful looking and sounding amp, built solid, gets warm but not hot like ive heard most other brand tube amps get. Primaluna designed this amp to perform as good as it looks. Bravo Primaluna!

I already have an EVO-400 Integrated with some Tannoy's from Upscale Audio and I love this system so much I thought I would try the EVO-200 Integrated with a pair of old Klipsch Chorus speakers in another room. My expectations were that it should sound good but I am actually surprised at how amazing this amp sounds with these speakers in my room. I was powering these speakers with a Marantz SR8005 and was not hating the sound but the EVO-200 absolutely destroyes it. Massive 3d soundstage, side to side, front to back. Beautiful full balanced sound top to bottom, very clear and controled. Tons of power to spare. I am between a quarter and a third volume and thats pushing my threshold for what I would ever listen to music at loudness wise. Very highly recommended.

Hi Scott, thanks so much for your review, it is greatly appreciated. The EVO 200 does get underestimated sometimes, but because it packs so much mass in its custom transformers even at this level of PrimaLuna, its scale and grip are phenomenal.

I am a long-time user of SS amps. I was interested in tube amplification, but they required maintenance that I didn't have time to explore or execute. Recently, after much research, I wanted in with the tube crowd. Simply put, The sonic response from the EVO 200 woke my Focal 918 to a never-before sound in the 15-years in my rig. The bass response is the most remarkable. It's as if I added a subwoofer to my system. I will soon upgrade to the Utopia line and am excited for the future using tube amplification. Thank you, Primaluna, for making tube amplification a plug-and-play endeavor.
