Exquisite !! Detailed with plenty of soundstaging in my small room. Non-fatiguing. I can listen all day. It's still breaking in, so it's a pleasant surprise every time I turn on the system. Folks at Upscale were great ... as usual!

I read all of the reviews prior to purchasing. I don't disagree with any of the positive comments. The sound is better than anything I have personally heard before. It smoothes out any rough edges to the sound with depth and breadth to the music. My only negative comment in my opinion is the selector knob will continue to rotate in either direction which can result in a selection of HT input which isn't where you want to be unless you have home theater components connected. I think it would be better if it stopped at the extremes particularly in a counter clock wise direction. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Definitely a big improvement over my AI Modulus 3. It’s a much better fit for my custom amp, and the 9db gain output is just about right. Dead quiet.

Outstanding preamp. Using it to feed a pair of VTA-m125 mono blocks. Heavy, built like tank and dead quiet. Very highly recommended.

The preamp sounds wonderful, it really opens the soundstage.

I've been listening to this preamp almost daily for about three months now. It sounded great right out of the box (triple boxed that is), but after about 100hrs or so, it really opened up. The low end is superbly detailed, well defined and controlled. It has great slam. I was not expecting such an improvement with bass definition. I use speakers with powered bass drivers. I had to turn down the bass by about 1dB or so to compensate for the additional bass this preamp gives to the power amp. The midrange is just glorious. Very focused with just the right texture, warmth and color. Quite neutral actually. The highs are detailed, nice and airy with just the right amount of shimmer. Not rolled off or bright in any way. The soundstage it throws is very three-dimensional and the realism of it is actually scary at times. It is hyper detailed, huge, wide and deep. Best imaging I've ever heard in my room. Overall this preamp is quiet and transparent as hell. I hate to use this overstated point, but I'm hearing things in my recordings I've never heard before. Utterly impressed with this preamp. It exemplifies all genres of music. Way outperforms it's price point and many other costing much more. The build quality and finish is superb as all other PL gear is. The volume control is nice and dense with a silky smoothness to it. The selector switch even feels nice. The remote is a beast, but I like that it feels like something in your hand. I'd hate to drop it on my foot! The volume increments may be a bit too much for some, but I don't find that an issue. If you've been contemplating buying this preamp, don't waste anymore time and do it. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended. My System: Preamp - PrimaLuna EVO 300 (all stock tubes), Power Amp - PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP (stock 12AU7s, KT120s), DAC - Oppo Sonica, Speakers - GoldenEar Triton One
