“you must understand this is my first turntable in 40 years! i had philips 212 and312 tables and caught the audio bug.The Pro-ject X-2 has not disappointed. I've just gotten the table going so get back to me in a few months. So far so good!”

“For me this was an upgrade from a 12 year old Rega P1. The X2 / Moonstone combo is a staggering improvement- and the single most astonishing piece of audio equipment I have ever purchased. I am running it through a tube preamp. The soundstage is refined, deep, enormous. The clarity of vocals, instruments, and tone is light years better than anything I have ever experienced. (And I have experienced, for example, the classic flagship Sony 777-ES CD rig.) The X2 build quality is excellent- (though I was quite annoyed that the superior sub-platter must be purchased separately as an upgrade). FINALLY I now can experience the truth of the claim that vinyl far bests CD. It does: but a rig of the quality of the X2 is essential. Without this class of instrument- sorry, no dice. Upscale Audio’s setup service and shipment care is excellent.”

“The X2 replaced a U Turn TT & is an excellent upgrade. Rock solid & smooth. Came with a Sumiko Moonstone cart. that sounded just ok. Replaced it with a Sumiko Blue Note Special III moving coil & now we're rolling! Thanks Upscale for your great service & for the triple boxing that ensured the X2's safe arrival.”
