“After watching a "Kevin" video on REL subwoofers I was curious. After purchasing the Carbon Special I am overjoyed. The setup was straight forward and the sound full and rich. The sales staff at Upscale Audio is first rate too!”

“The Carbon Specials have definitely opened up my sound stage in my system and would highly recommend purchasing a min of a pair of these great subs if you are serious about creating a more lively and wide sound stage to open up your system. I started with a pair of REL HT-1205 from Upscale Audio and I wanted to step up my game and these Carbon Specials are that much better and worth the cost. Super Happy customer with my newest purchase”

“Great styling and for moving "air" and pressurizing rooms. Connected via "high level" Neutrix to NAD Masters M33 was not trivial. Since it is a digital amp (class D), the (+, -) doesn't function same as Class A/B. I'm still very puzzled. With 1 of the "Red/Yellow" on (+) and floating ground...I can BARELY put the volume of Carbon Special REL at 1-2 ticks above zero! Super sensitive. In addition, setup in-room for 2 subs was a 3 day affair for 3-4 hours shifting 90lb subs to get best punchy and complimentary response. The fact that these $4500 each subs have ONLY a phase toggle switch made the job MUCH harder. Overall, they improved my system, but I really feel a purchase of this magnitude deserves better support from Upscale Audio AND REL. Besides shipping them quickly, Upscale really didn't follow-up to answer questions or offer support. These subs are pretty, but also perplexing...especially trying to run off NAD Masters M33 (Class D) via high-level inputs. I really want REL to give me more insight and advice as to WHY I can barely turn the sub volume knob!”
