“Disclaimer: I didn't buy these from Upscale Audio, but got them used recently from a colleague of mine who had them for a little over 2 years. What a great speaker, really elevated my system. Like others have said, the vocals are crisp and clear on these, and since my set is beyond the break-in point, the bass delivers. It is like listening to all my favorite music again for the first time. Certainly handles the audiophile stuff with great ease, but it even makes other music I love really special again. Paranoid by Black Sabbath, yeah it's sounds like you always hoped it would when you were a kid. Even Fugazi and Operation Ivy come through these with a glorious sound profile that renews my inner teenager (I honestly thought the punk music might suffer from less-than-optimal production, but no, it rocks!). I am using them with a Mark Levinson 5805 integrated amplifier and a Music Hall MMF 5.3 turntable with a Hana EH cartridge. I also went with Audioquest Rocket 66 Bi-Wire cables and elevated the speakers on Gaia II isolation feet with carpet spike discs. The Gaia II's really improved the low-end on the speakers. I am looking forward to making the little tweaks to speaker position, tilt, anguluation, etc. Couldn't be happier!”
