“I don't believe in reading about how something sounds, but I've compared Harbeth C7s (most neutral & linear), Graham LS6s (most dynamic & wideband) and Spendor 3/1s (smoothest & most musical). The 3/1s are the ones I kept & I listen to almost very genre. All these speakers are fabulous & demand high end amplification & sources. The lowest amps I'd suggest for 3/1s are Rega Elex, Nait XS or Exposure 3510, all work great with the Spendors, but the Rega is my fave. Tubes would also work great, but 50w/ch or more IMO. You don't need expensive stands, just use enough blu-tack to keep the speaker bottom just off the stand's top plate to let the speaker wall flex a bit. These are speakers you can keep for a lifetime & build around in a small/med room, soo good.”
