“Unless you listen to only acapella or waltzes on string quintets I do not understand the allure of these speakers. They are extremely unflat and very midrange. Like it was suggested I buy a sub at $1k which still cannot hear cymbals. I take a star off for the exorbitant price as they really sound like several Auratone 5c monitors at $399 put together. Take away another star for the stands so they perform correctly and are too short unless you sit on floor at $1700. Last take away a star for them being so mid range and limited in music genres. They are horrible for rock or pop music. They do sound slow and syrupy. The pipe and slippers analogy is very accurate. The only way they sound good is to crank up my REL T7 sub a bit and take a line out to another amp to some JBL studio monitors of similar size. and use a spectrum analyzer to make the lows and highs even with the mids. Then they all sound good with 5 cabinet. A 10", 4 6.5'/7"s and 4 tweeters.”
