“Product review based of comparison of previous Hana ML. The Hana was very bright, a bit much for my liking. The soundsmith is incredible, the sounds stage just came alive, the base is deep and wow I hear instruments that weren’t previously heard. Worth every penny, a lot of pennies, but with it.”

“Simply the best cartridge I have ever had the pleasure to listen to my cherished vinyl. I am hearing things within music I've listened to, some that I've been listening to for over 30 years. It also tracks every album without a problem, I have 3 albums that other hi-end cartridges that wouldn't track well with where the Hyperion had no problems. The sound is noticeable better, the high's are more focused, the low's seem to be tighter and the mid's are much sweeter. In other aspects of my system when I've added at a similar cost, the change was incremental, better but nothing compared to what I experienced with the Hyperion, when I added this piece it felt like a veil was pulled off my system, not just another incremental upgrade. Along with the excellent performance the support from Soundsmith is also excellent, after submitting a question on their website on a Saturday morning I received a call back, on Saturday I might add, from Peter Ledermann himself to troubleshoot my problem, needless to say I have never had a chief engineer (or the CEO) from any company contact me directly to solve any problem before, it was a breath of fresh air to have a company so dedicated to their craft go out of their way to help me in solving an issue that in the end wasn't caused by their product, he could have easily dismissed my issue knowing it was most likely my tonearm that was causing it, instead Peter took the time to give me a detailed list of steps to try and then helped me to identify the real culprit. The Hyperion is highly recommended along with Soundsmith also being highly recommended.”

“After talking to Peter Lederman CEO, of Soundsmith and cartridge shopping with Kat at Upscale Audio I decided to go straight to the top with the Soundsmith Hyperion ES Moving Iron Cartridge. After about two weeks of listening to the new cartridge, I can verify I made the right choice. The Hyperion ES is superb with stability, focus, articulation and soundstage and bass. This wonderful sound makes it very hard to end the music therapy listening sessions at the end of the night. I have had many other high end cartridges and this one is a keeper. Very highly recommended.”
