“An excellent upgrade for my 2M Black cartridge. When I purchased my Evo100 Phonostage, the salesperson asked about my system, and I told him I had a 2M Black, and had no near term intention to go MC. He suggested I look at the LVB250 stylus, and that was a GREAT suggestion. I really love the sound of the 2M through the EVO100 Phono. The biggest difference from the Evo is that it projects a huge soundspace and provides wonderful layering of instruments so you can track individual parts even when things get complex. I like the tonality of the 2M, adjusted by ear and VTA. Swapping in the LVB250 stylus gives more of what I like. I wouldn't say it changes the tonal balance so much as it gives even more resolution of individual lines, and does even better in resolving individual layers when things get complex. It's what you would expect based on the boron cantilever. Faster, more resolving (but not brighter). Not more highs, but better quality highs: less fatugueing, yet more to listen to. An it impacts the bass as well, more musical bass, more abience from string plucks, drum hits. For me, the LVB250/2M with the Evo100 Phono is peak MM. Thanks for the great suggestion. Very happy.”
