This is truly a very special little gem of an integrated amp. I've waited until everything has been broken in properly to write this, and have certainly noticed how it has opened up over time. Disclaimer: I pretty quickly rolled out the 12ax7 tube to a NOS Sovtek from 2003, but it was damn good before too. Honestly just upgrade off the bat, it goes from great to unbelievable... This thing really lives up to the internet hype! I was scouring the interwebs and forums for audiophiles whispering about the little known secret gems of affordable greatness, and this Vincent kept coming up as the "never a negative word to be said about it", go to amp. They also accurately stated you never see them on audio mart because people hang on to them, they're that good. I think the marriage of tubes in the pre with a solid state amp really is the sweet spot of the amplifier world. The sound is so clean and powerful, always effortless in anything it attempts. The highs have that airy sweetness to them that tubes are known for, but they're far from thin. Heard someone describe this thing as the steak and merlot amp, and that's about right, the 10w of Class A really fills out every note. The mids are full and rich with a sound that conveys instruments and voices with such lifelike accuracy. Where this thing really stands out is the bass control. It just owns it, has so much weight and slam for its class. It can convey a great soundstage with amazing separation between instruments and voices. I've been feeding it with a node streamer and a denafrips pontus ii dac, as I hear it's own dac isn't that special. But with this combo and the tube rolled, good cables, power cord and interconnects, I'm seriously melting. So good it puts me in a trance! People say finding those pieces of gear that sound heavenly are rare and expensive, and they're typically right. This is one of those rare pieces, and it isn't cheap, but in hifi world it certainly is. Go for it, you won't be disappointed!!

Thanks so much for this detailed review, Jake! Yes, it's nearly always better to run an external streamer and DAC, and apart from this being a great amp, you've done the right thing by ensuring the whole package is properly set up, down to cables!

The Vincent hybrid amp produced incredible sound!! Immediately noticeable from my MartinLogan ESL's. Two weeks later my REL T/9 arrived and could not be happier!! I can't believe how good this Amp is. If you're thinking of getting one, GET IT!

Outstanding integrated. Had it almost a month and it continues to improve with every listen. Plenty of power, lots of bass, excellent clarity and a vast soundstage. Highly recommend!
