The Vincent SV 500 has such a nice sound to it. Warm tubey sound and nicely detailed too. Powerful ! Cons; I am nitpicking now. Not crazy about the red light for the selector. Green or blue maybe. The volume knob has a red LED also. That's okay because it goes off after adjustment. It only lights up when you increase the volume with the remote. If you are turning it manually it does not light up. I also thought the mute button on the front is useless. When would you ever use it? But it keeps up the symmetry on the front and it all looks nice looks nice.

I am very very happy with this unit. I decided to stick with you even though there are other prices out there.

First, I'd like to thank Chris, Ken and Josh for making this purchase possible. I had some technical issues with some of my other equipment they helped me work through. Their personal attention in my situation was commendable. They went "above and beyond" to ensure I was satisfied with my purchase. Now, on to the Vincent Audio SV-500. This amp is a beast! Seriously, it's built like a tank and exudes quality in every detail. If you're concerned that 50 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load might not be enough power, don't worry. This amp cranks. It's loud, I can't go much past 9 o'clock with the volume. You could if you want to. It'll take it and sounds great, but at my age, I have to conserve what's left of my hearing. The SV-500 has the best of both worlds, tube sound with solid state reliability. The sound stage fills my listening room with 3D air, clear highs, mids, and rock solid bass. And that's after just a few days listening. I'm told that it only get's better and really comes into it's own after 100 hours. The amp arrived triple-boxed and was in perfect condition - flawless. If you're on the fence about purchasing the SV-500, the only real decision you need to make is get to the black or silver model. I got the silver one. Looks like old-school 70's audio gear, very classy. Lastly, another huge thank you to the crew at Upscale Audio. Best customer support in the business.

Brilliant clarity, depth, imaging and soundstage. Yes, you can hear the tubes imparting their magic. Yes, this amp has real muscle that seems larger than its stated rating. Made my Audiolab 6000a feel like a toy. Pair with slightly less-forward speakers, as this holds no detail back and can present as 'almost' too truthful. Highly recommend.

The Vincent Audio SV-500 Hybrid Amp has a warm, clean and distinctive base and good mid tones and clear, smooth highs. I think for the money it is hard to beat. Given the right recordings you have a wide and deep soundstage, with no distortion, great channel separation and you can almost reach out and touch vocalists. The sound is focused (based on the recording) and crisp without being tiring on the ears. I highly recommend it within this price range.

Like this little amp. Fast, muscular, musical. Works really well with Tannoy Revolution XT 8F. Good synergy. Plenty of power, in my medium size listening room volume never goes past 11 o'clock. Soundstage is well developed, with nice depth. Great remote. Very happy with the purchase. Thanks, Kevin!

The amp sounds good, but I can’t seem to get rid of an extreme buzzing sound. When plugged into a turntable input. Everything other input sounds good.i have talked with support, but nothing has seemed to work.
