“I was not initially impressed with this amp. The internal dac sucks, even compared to Yamaha A-S301 internal dac which sounds decent. Thankfully I received the Geshelli Labs J2S ak4499 with the sparkos opamp about the same time I received the SV-500. Still, initially, and surprisingly the pair sounded very digital, but I gave it some time (about 50 hrs) and the two began pushing sound quality out of my Polk R100's I would've not thought possible. Streaming Tidal via the very affordable Wiim, I could not ask for a more musical, engaging, and non fatiguing sound quality. All in at a little over $2k and I can't wait to get home everyday and decompress to beautiful music.”
