4/5 would rate 5/5 but is that really possible? I like the way it gave my Focal Electra’s a boost in clarity. I’ve had it a couple weeks and I’m still dialing it in. I think I have a tough space for optimum sound. Anyway, Joel was the salesperson that helped me out. He was really good and extremely helpful. So much so that I purchased a Vault 2i, Chord Qutest, a Audioquest Carbon Digital Cable and a power supply for the Chord. Joel’s help had much to do with my purchase and another purchase I’m contemplating making. Thanks!

I am glad that I bought the T/9i. The new T/9x would not be worth the extra money to me, I use it for music and it works well.

Paired the single T/9i with a new pair of Magnepan 1.7i’s in a 2 channel system and I don’t think I could be more pleased. Installation was a ‘breeze’ thanks to the Bass CD that Upscale provided.

It mates extremely well with my Magnepan 1.7i setup (thanks Upscale for the suggestion there). It's ludicrously fast. I was a little worried about sub integration with these speakers, but that turned out to be unfounded fear. I first set it up without bothering with my fancy digital crossover stuff; just moving it around the room and adjusting the dials and it was surprisingly easy to get a very good sound. Created some serious bloom in the corner, so I had to move it into the room a ways, but that was the only real problem and more to do with my room than the speaker. Gorgeous finish on this thing. Pristine paint job. I wish it didn't have *so many* REL logos though. It's a little too much advertising for my taste. The white color helps it disappear into the room a bit as well. As for the sound, it's basically perfect down to 30hz. It doesn't slam much below that. In my room, it measured down to 28hz and then fell off a cliff. If you're hoping for a home theater sub that will rumble into the teens, this isn't it. It's absolutely astonishing for music though. I had no idea what I was missing below 45hz. I put on a version of the 1812 Overture that included actual cannon-fire and my partner thought there had been a car accident outside. Nope, just a very nice subwoofer making some lifelike booms.

Despite cautions about connecting to monoblock class D amps, my PSAudio M700's hooked up without problem to a single REL T/9i. I LOVE natural bass, kick drums, bass lines, etc. When properly set up and adjusted, this REL absolutely enhanced my highs, midrange, and of course BASS. For those that want kick, you can have that too. For me, I wanted a fuller sound and "upgrade" my Tannoy Revolution XT 8F Loudspeakers. REL enhanced my system without sounding like I have a separate sub - now I am perfectly happy with my whole system. It's like a pair of $10K speakers for less than half that price. Josh was great to deal with too.

It is a beautiful piece of equipment. It produces base tones that I never knew existed. I also have the wireless receiver that works perfectly.

I have contacted REL five times (two voicemails + three emails) over the past three weeks to ask a very simple question on hooking up their Speakon cable. The complete lack of response it unacceptable in every way. Every time I look at the REL subwoofer my anger only increases so I plan to return the product
