“Dear friends - the tube is working fine - just a few weeks old by now. It replaced a tube in the Prima Luna 400 pre after just six months - I think because of heat. In Kevin's recent video about tubes, the pre and the power were sitting side by side - same as in our system - but in a cabinet - with front doors open and back wall removed and 10" clearance to the top, and 3" between the two units (the amp is by Allnic with four KT 120's). I have added a quiet fan blowing between the two units and they seem to run cooler now because I notice with the Evo more heat dissipates from its sides than from the top. This should improve longevity. Hope this helps.”
